OXFORDSHIRE NURSE TRAINING RECORDS

Nurses have been receiving formal training in Oxfordshire for over 100 years, managed at first by the individual hospitals and later under the aegis of the Oxford School of Nursing. Nurse training was taken over by Oxford Brookes University in September 1990.

How to obtain training transcripts

If you trained as a nurse in Oxfordshire and wish to work in another country you may be asked to produce a transcript of your training for the regulatory authorities of that country; usually they will provide the appropriate form. To comply with the UK Data Protection Act 1998 we need your permission to release data relating to you, so please apply in writing, giving your permission and naming the authority to which the information should be sent. If there has been a change of name, evidence of this should be supplied.

  • If you began your training before September 1990:
Apply to Oxfordshire Health Archives, The Warneford Hospital, Warneford Lane, Oxford OX3 7JX. There is a fee of £10 sterling + VAT for the service, a total of £11.75. Cheques should be made payable to Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

  • If you graduated after 1992 please contact the School of Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes University: nursing_transcripts@brookes.ac.uk

Please note that we cannot guarantee that all records have survived.
