Portrait Artist
01494 580088
Having left her birthplace of Wolverhampton over 30 years ago, June Tweddle has worked in pastels, replacing the more familiar mediums of oils and
watercolours.
She has since had a growing interest in figures and animal paintings, and specialises particularly in portraits. June has had many portrait and animal commissions over the last 7 years, when she started to take her art more seriously.
June had no formal training, but learned a little from a postal art course as a teenager, as well as at night schools in Wolverhampton, and Truro in Cornwall.
She recently joined Beechwood Artists (which is affiliated to the Society for Amateur Artists), based in Amersham, and has exhibited through the Art Group at Amersham, High Wycombe and Chalfont St Giles, Bucks.
June was featured in the local newspaper,
The Buckinghamshire Advertiser, when actor Sean Bean had seen, admired, and signed two paintings of himself on the set of "Goldeneye" in 1995.
She enjoys portrait commissions, and lives in Chalfont St Giles.
